Posted Transaction List

The Posted Transaction List option allows users to print the details of general ledger account transactions for an account, an account maskA mask is used to conduct a wild card search. Visually a mask is represented by a series of forward slash marks (///), sometimes with a letter, letters, or number preceding it (1/// or AB///). Using a mask allows you to generate a list of like groups. For instance, if you wanted to find a customer whose name began with AB or a group of customers whose name begins with AB, and are within a "mask" field, entering AB along with a (system) designated number of forward slashes, would list all customer defined in the system whose names begin with AB. (selection of accounts), or all accounts for one or several accounting periods. The Posted Transaction List shows the beginning and ending account balances and all transactions posted to the general ledger. Print this report at the end of every accounting period before closing the period to provide audit trail detail.
